Take it easy

Set aside some time after your session, even if it’s 10 min; don’t head straight to the gym, reach for your phone to check messages or emails, or go to a social engagement. Trust that what you need to get done will get done.

Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking plenty of water flushes out toxins and tired energies. This will support the healing energies to continue. Notice how you much water you drink for the first few days after a session.

Avoid Alcohol

Alcohol and tobacco dull our senses and therefore our energies. Avoid both for at least 24 hours. Reiki cleanses, balances and heals. Dulling our senses is counter productive. Instead, try to stay full present to what goes on around you.

Eat Healthy

Eat plenty of fresh and nourishing foods for the rest of the day (or week!). Processed foods make us feel heavy and deplete our energy. Stay away from refined sugars and energy snacks/drinks as these are also a quick fix solution.

Take Notes

Start to write down what you notice in a journal or jot them down on a napkin!

Do you have any recurring thoughts or feelings? It can be hard to ignore the messages once we see them in black and white. Perhaps some new and exciting ideas are forming!

Notice Your Feelings

Know that whatever you feel is ok. Nothing is permanent, not even joy, bliss or happiness. As we accept that our feelings constantly move and change, we become better equipped to deal with our whole range of emotions.
